A History of A to Z

From small beginnings...

Zinnia Dungjen and Audrey Mason met at Interlochen Arts Academy as a first year sophomore (Zinnia), and a freshman (Audrey).

Audrey started playing guitar in sixth grade, mostly self-taught (with help from family and friends). In middle school, Audrey played cello in TSO Civic String Orchestra, and she also participated in her school’s orchestra. During the summers of her 7th and 8th grade years, she participated in a local theatre program, Youthquake, through Parallel 45. Audrey started gigging around Nothern Michigan when she was 13 and has since fallen in love with performing; she jumps at any opportunity to play for an audience.

Zinnia spent her entire grade school, middle school, and freshman year educational years at Glen Lake Community Schools. There she was in the choir, the drum major of the Glen Lake Schools marching band where she also played flute, was a member of a student lead club called "Tommy's First Mates" dedicated to bring awareness to and erase the stigma surrounding mental health. She also was on the JV girls basketball team, was on a state-wide student anti-racism committee, and acted in every play/musical she could during her time there. She started gigging professionally when she was 15 years old but has had performance experience since she was a toddler singing songs with her parents at the open mic night at the Hayloft Inn that her father hosted!
